"Bibliotheken vermitteln möglichst umfassenden Zugang zu Information und Wissen. Verlage sehen im Zugang zu Information und Wissen eher ein Geschäftsmodell. Für Industriegesellschaften wie Deutschland und Japan, aber auch für aufstrebende Länder wie China ist Wissen und Information der wichtigste Rohstoff. Ist das heute geltende Urheberrecht der richtige Rahmen für die globale Wissensgesellschaft?"
"The doctrine of moral rights is based on the idea that authors have a special bond with their own creative work. At present, the legal status of moral rights demands clarification and assessment as never before, particularly as the international expansion of moral rights occurs in the new environment of digital technology.
